Take It Like a Man

What is the use of writing when you don't care about how people will react to your work as long as you're getting paid? Once you put your work out there, you are subjecting yourself to both criticisms and praises. While having your works praised is elating, negative comments about your piece always hurt. Always. Nobody can take that away from you. But no matter how hurt you are, it is not right to act like a snotty primadonna who refuses to acknowledge that just like everyone else in this world, you also need to improve on your chosen craft.

You may not care if the reading public will like your work or not. You might not care if your books are selling or not. But I think your publisher will. After all, the publisher prints your books so he could sell them and make some money, the same way that you write to make some money. The least you could do is to make your books worth buying.
