2011 goals and visions

It's already the middle of the year and I just thought it is time to look how many checks I had in my 2011 goals. Unlike last year, I cut down my goals to five instead of the usual ten. Maybe because it was so darn difficult for me to attain all ten and much more darn frustrating when at the end of the year I only see once check. So there, for 2011, I had five goals or visions.

1) Finish a novel
    I did. I already had a check marked next to it. The problem is I am really very much tempted to uncheck it. Why? Because I am rewriting and revising it. Why? Because I submitted it to a publishing company and it was returned. Back then, I thought., the goal was to finish a novel, not to have a novel be approved. But I also thought, if it was returned then it wasn't much of a novel. So there,  back to zero.

2) Laptop
     This I got. Okay, granting the NEO Basic B3380 is not exactly a laptop. It's a netbook. Nevertheless, it is still a check. Even if it was not what I wanted at first. I was dreaming of a Sony VAIO or a Macbook, you know. But hey, reality won't let me get that near to those brands and models. And Toots, my netbook is doing just fine except during those times that he was trying teach me the value of patience :D

3) Get an online job
     A semi-check. Why? I have an online job. More like an online piggyback. I am working on some PTC sites where I earned at least $0.005 a day. Not much for someone who spends more than that a day. I need this if I want to save up for my other goals as well as paying the enormous family debts. What I wanted was something from these two sites: Elance and Odesk. The problem is I am too damn scared. I can't even finish my profile, much more bid for the jobs I am interested in. I feel like I need help from someone who already knows how this sites work. Think Ben Dan or Denise. Sigh. Scaredy-cat me.

4) Passport
    Hopefully, I will before the year ends. Okay, so maybe I won't be able to get one this year. But I should at least be able to file my passport application with the DFA.

5)Travel to Boracay and Baguio
    A semi-check under Bora. Yep, I have been there courtesy of..<zips mouth>. There, I can't say. It was the kind of trip that I was not allowed to shout to the world that I have been there already. I told a few trusted friends but that's it. I am hoping I would be able to go back to Boracay before the year end, though.
    Baguio City. I am hoping that my North Luzon trip will push through this October. Baguio City, Vigan and Laoag. October is coming up and I haven't save a dime for this trip. That is why I badly need goal number three.

There, a lot of  semi-checks next to my goals. I still have six more months to work on my goals so I can place really big checks next to my 2011 visons/goals.
